These terms apply to quotes and work carried out by JCK Carpentry & Building, run by Jake Killen as a sole trader from 16 Bridge Road, Exeter. Your written quote sets out the specific work and price for your job.
Quotes
Every job is priced individually after a site visit. Your quote covers the work described in it. Changes or extra work you ask for will be agreed with you before they go ahead.
Booking and payment
- A deposit is required to secure your booking. The amount depends on the size and scale of the job and will be shown on your quote.
- Larger projects are paid in stages as the work progresses.
- All invoices are sent online and paid by bank transfer.
Guarantee
All our work comes with a 12-month workmanship guarantee. Any materials or fixtures supplied by the client are not covered under this guarantee.
Insurance
We hold £2 million public liability insurance.
Permissions
Unless your quote says otherwise, you're responsible for obtaining any planning permission, listed building consent, or freeholder or neighbour agreement the work needs.
Your rights
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer, including under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
